About the Text:
The text of this original Ajax history is exclusively
written for Ajax USA and is based on various sources, including
the official Ajax website. Main sources for factual research
were the books 90 Jaren Ajax (Evert Vermeer,
Luitingh-Sijthoff Publishers, 1990) and Ajax 1900-2000
(ed. Rob van Zoest, Thôth Publishers, 2000). One
important historical Ajax aspect was deliberately omitted: the
Jewish side of Ajax's history, since that aspect was
excellently described by Simon Kuper in his book, Ajax, de
Joden, Nederland, which is available in English on this
website.
