Day One

Site selection and preparation

We considered putting the ramp in the middle of our backyard, but decided it would be too obnoxious and would cut into our soccer and dog poop territory. So we opted for the under-utilized side-yard on the north edge of our house. The first task was to clear weeds and junk from the side yard. Then I had to dig out a 10'x10' patch of dirt that was elevated above the level gravel area of the yard. That all took about a day. But it was really fun. ;-)

The site is basically level now. We still need to run gravel along the footprint of the ramp...
