'Only' seven goals at Colmschate...
15 July: For the first time during their pre-season
campaign Ajax failed to put double digits on the
score-board, ending their assault on the amateurs of
Colmschate after just seven goals. American John O'Brien played
the full game in midfield but did not add to his
two-goal pre-season tally.
This was the last of the three matches Ajax played during
their trip through the east of Holland, while being based in
the town of De Lutte. The players are now back in
Amsterdam. Next monday Euro 2000 participants Cristian Chivu,
Bogdan Lobont and André Bergdølmo will join the
group. Next wednesday another game follows against the amateurs
of Greenstars. (BV)
