Ajax and Haarlem to confirm cooperation

01 March: Ajax and First Division club HFC Haarlem will sign a cooperation contract on 10 March. By doing so, the cooperation between the clubs will become official.

Ajax and Haarlem have been working together since October, 2000. A 'declaration of intention' was signed at that time. Ajax coach, Heini Otto, was put in charge of Haarlem's first team. Ajax-2 goalkeeper, Serge van den Ban, and midfielder Marc Stuut joined Haarlem's squad.

Ajax's influence has not made a significant difference for Haarlem so far: the club is eighteenth, at the bottom of the First Division. (MP)
