Stefano Seedorf breaks metatarsal during Young Ajax
training
13 March: The names of Van der Vaart and O'Brien have
disappeared from the Ajax injury list, but another name could
be added to it: that of Stefano Seedorf. The midfielder broke a
metatarsal bone in training with Young Ajax and will be ruled
out for an estimated two months.
The 20 year-old midfielder, who joined the Ajax-1 squad in
the winter break, trained with his former team-mates of Young
Ajax on Tuesday 11 March. He sustained a painful foot injury.
X-rays in hospital showed a fracture of a metatarsal bone in
his right foot.
So far, Clarence Seedorf's cousin had six official
appearances in Ajax-1, in four Eredivisie games and two Amstel
Cup games.
Seedorf is not the only Ajax-1 player recovering from a
metatarsal fracture. On 04 February, a similar accident
happened to Wamberto in training. (MP)
