Ajax Orlando to conduct youth camps across U.S.
15 April: Ajax Orlando has announced plans to conduct
recruitment and training camps across the United States during
the summer of 2004. Activities are scheduled for college
campuses in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Missouri,
California, Ohio and Massachusetts.
"Ajax's summer Recruitment and Training Camps expose players
to the most refined youth soccer training approaches," says Wim
Suurbier, technical director for Ajax Orlando. "After five days
of intense study, drills and matches, players will have an edge
unrivaled by traditional soccer education."
The camps, which range in cost from $475 to $695 per
participant, are open to boys and girls ages 10 and older.
According to Ajax Orlando, the camps will feature instruction
by AFC Ajax Amsterdam trainers as well as regional college
coaching staffs, and each player will be evaluated on the Ajax
T.I.P.S (technique, intelligence, personality and speed) model.
Player evaluations are entered into the proprietary Ajax
Scouting Compendium for periodic review directly by AFC Ajax
scouts and trainers.
Ajax Orlando is the exclusive American affiliate of AFC Ajax
