Ajax Orlando becomes Ajax America
23 June: The name of Ajax Orlando, Ajax's U.S. 'satellite
club' has officially been changed into Ajax America today.
Ajax's American affiliate was founded in
August 2003 and has developed steadily ever since,
although the youth academy in Orlando, Florida, has not yet
yielded a player ready for try-out at the 'mother club' in
Amsterdam.

AFC Ajax (Amsterdam), the
First Premier European Soccer Club to Penetrate the United
States, Re-brands their American Affiliate.
Orlando, FL - (July 01, 2005) -
Orlando based soccer company Ajax Orlando, the exclusive
affiliate of AFC Ajax NL, will be known throughout the world
as Ajax America, effective immediately. As the first
European affiliated club to penetrate the United States, Ajax
America looks to develop and recruit players through Ajax's
world famous training system. Ajax pioneered a
multi-faceted soccer development program in America in 2003
and since that time has progressively spread its coaching
philosophy throughout the country through training schools,
camps and clinics as well as its Orlando based youth
academy.
In 2005 Ajax organized National
Training Schools in 15 cities throughout the United
States. Due to the success at each training school Ajax
has reached affiliation agreements with 12 soccer clubs,
including clubs in California, Alaska, Indiana, New York,
Maryland and Texas. Locally Ajax America operates
a youth academy for players in the U13-U19
levels.

and I believe that we are just scratching the surface of
possibilities," stated Mark Dillon, president and chief
executive officer of Ajax America.

expanded to include affiliates and schools all over the
