This page outlines everything we know about various ways to watch Ajax remotely, either on television or on the Internet.

Ajax on TV | Ajax on the Internet

Depending on where you live, there may be some way to watch Ajax on television.

United States:

Currently, the only option for watching Ajax games on television in the United States is Setanta US, which is available on many cable and satellite systems. Setanta shows Eredivisie games on most Sundays (usually same-day-delayed) and Eredivisie highlights midweek each week.

United Kingdom:

There are a few ways to watch Ajax on TV in Britain:

  1. Channel 5 (free to air non satelitle/cable channel) generally shows one full Eredivisie game a week, typically at about 03.00am and typically on a Thursday morning. You'll usually get one of the big three (and lately some AZ games too) from the previous weekend. They sometimes repeat the game as highlights at about the same time on Monday the following week.
  2. Setanta 1 and Setanta 2 (pay channel on satellite or cable). They will typically show one or two games a month on one of the channels, either live or as a delayed broadcast. Again, as in USA it might not be Ajax but generally has been this season. They also have a weekly highlights show, basically the Dutch programme De Wedstrijden (The Match) but with English commentary and without the studio pundits.
  3. Eurosport (free to air on cable or satelite) show the goals and sometimes brief highlights every week on "Eurogoals" on a Monday night around 5.00pm. Channel 4 (free to air non satelite/cable) sometimes show a similar programme on Sunday night/Monday morning.
  4. European Games. These are shared between various channels. Champions League games (and highlights) are shown on Sky Sports (pay channel on Cable/Satelite) or on ITV1 (free to air non satelitle/cable) or ITV2/3/4 (free to air on cable of satelitle). TV rights for UEFA Cup games tend to be sold individually so the games are shown on a variety of channels, Channel 5/Eurosport and sometimes others as well, especially if a UK team is involved.
  5. And finally, De Hems [info] is a Dutch bar in Macclesfield Street, near Leicester Square in central London. They show all sorts of stuff that's on Dutch TV but not otherwise available in the UK.

Ajax on the Internet

We are just getting started on gathering information on this page regarding Internet sources of Ajax football. Be patient: This stuff is new and weird to us too. :-D

  • Ajax.nl: The official Ajax website offers video highlights and news, in Dutch, for a fee.
  • MyP2P: A good place to start if you're interested in watching Ajax (or practically anything else) via the Internet. (Begin with their Beginner's Guide, naturally.) You can watch a variety of live Dutch channels by going to Watch Live TV, clicking on Netherlands TV and then selecting a channel. (You may have to install software; not sure about that.)
  • UltraSuid: An Ajax fansite that publishes video highlights of Ajax games and news. You will need to install Codecs (whatever those are) and an appropriate video player to enjoy the massive files you can download from UltraSuid.
